Using Ebooks for Marketing

E-books are just electronic versions of regular books or journals but they frighten people if you suggest writing one. There is no longer any need for delaying with the simple process detailed below. There isn’t any reason why you have to write it yourself because they are many people online who can do the writing for you or assist you with things you are unsure of.

Once you’ve decided on a topic for your E-Book, and have done research to ensure that people are looking for and buying information on this topic, write a series of articles. A good method used to practice before you start is to write some articles on the topic of your book and then distribute them on the Internet to promote the book you are writing; free publicity! This is a simple process whereby the promotional articles are sent to directories for insertion; the number of views they get will provide a good indication just how much interest there is in the subject.

It is then a simple matter of writing more articles for the e-book itself, all the time working on the overall structure of it. If you are worried about the structure you should not go wrong of you follow the normal introduction section, body content and then a conclusion to the subject which might also have a helpful resources area as well. Consider writing several more articles as a bonus because adding this as a bonus will enhance your sales.

Once each article has been written, place into the e-book; just how many you will ultimately require will depend on how long you want it to be. If you want someone to actually read your e-book, it can’t be too long so keep it informative and around fifty pages in length. People do not like reading on compute screens so prefer to have shorter books that do not drift from the subject.

If you want to give further value to your e-book then why not research some additional information which you can add as a bonus. From your point of view this bonus information does not need to be anything more than some extra articles you did not use in the book or a short report you have written. However, as with all the material you create for your e-Book, ensure that your bonus material is relevant because it should be valuable on its own.

Autoresponder Marketing

By using auto responders online, you can engage in inexpensive and effective marketing. Since the goal of online merchants is to boost the number of repeat visitors and sales to their website, the auto responder will allow them to do this. Strategies that are effective for many individuals are those that follow.

It is a good idea to ditch the idea of small daily or weekly eZines and go instead with an Adobe eZine monthly, in the .pdf format if possible, delivered through auto responder. Some people have difficulty deciding what to include in their book, but if they stick with a basic number of articles and remember to include other items, like quotes to inspire, tips from the industry, favorite websites, and pro advice, they will have a great e-book. If you feel that your e-book is getting a little dull, don’t be afraid to add a little bit of color with graphics, or even links to multimedia files. Many subscribers will pay a monthly fee, though most expect an annual discount of some sort. Selling ads can be profitable, especially if you do it for the auto responder that sends out announcements for your monthly eZine in addition to the informational series that you use to entice new readers.

Another tool of the trade is to include a link, or directory of articles on your website. Each page focuses on articles that are specific to the site’s industry, and should have a place for their own banner or ad at the top of the page. Many people employ the link exchange, which is a tool that gets other website owners to link to their site while being listed in the directory. If you chose instead to permit others to submit articles to your directory, be sure to add a resource box so they can include their URL. The best possible result will be a new flow of visitors to the website. Find more information by Googling ‘link exchange software’ or ‘article directory software’.

If you have the time and the patience, another marketing activity you can employ is offering courses in their subject matter. These courses can be broken down into chunks small enough to fit into email sent through auto responder, and in those emails webmasters include a link back to the web page to try to entice more sales. The marketing goal is to get people to fill out a form for email subscription services offered through the auto responder. If people sign up, they can be given more information about the products through the courses.

The use of eZines, eBooks, directories and step-by-step courses have proved to be effective marketing tools for a website. Your business might not even be an online business, but that shouldn’t prevent you from using these online marketing tips.
